Vegan Brand Vendula London is delighted to announce their latest collection in celebration of 50 Years of Queen
Vendula London launched in 2003 and has grown to be one of fashions unique brands with one guiding philosophy – to make others ask…. “where did you get that bag?!” Their ever-growing list of fans (Vendulettes) are across the UK, Europe and North America. Vendula London is quirky, ethical they are passionate about slow fashion and their vegan friendly bags and accessories.

As well as online the Vendula London flagship store is at London’s Gabriel’s Wharf at the South Bank where the stunning new range is available now.
Each Vendula London piece is created by highly skilled ‘artisan’ workers with many years of experience and care going into every item. When they started designing this collection they wanted to create a range that would speak to their Vendulettes and also something for the Queen fans.
The Vendula Design team says;
“We quickly realised that we are all huge Queen fans here at Vendula Towers and really any excuse to play Bohemian Rhapsody was welcomed. Diving in and immersing ourselves in the archives and memorabilia of the band was very inspiring and of course we couldn’t help but design a bag for each band member!”

The Brian May Bag
Designing for Brian May was easy – the Vendula London design team knew they had to pay homage to the Red Special, the iconic guitar he designed and built with his father that is now world famous. They wanted to recreate a little bit of rock history in handbag form, and so their Red Special bag was born.
Featuring Brian May’s embroidered signature on the front and hand-drawn wood grain print – this is a real tribute piece.
The Roger Taylor Drum Bag
With the Roger Taylor drum bag they knew they wanted to combine elements that would represent his role in the band and also the band as a whole – so they toyed with ways they could incorporate a drum kit and classic queen elements.
The base drum was the perfect shape for a grab bag, with embroidered and studded details on the sides to represent the drum hardware, and the crossed drumsticks – the universal sign of a drummer!
Throughout the range you’ll notice iconic patches and emblems Vendula London designed to encapsulate the Queen spirit.
The Roger Taylor drum bag also features a super embellished shoulder strap – the studding detail was inspired by the stage lighting from their tour in 1977. The back of the bag features Rogers embroidered signature making this a collector’s piece to treasure.
The Freddie Mercury Bag
Designing a bag for Freddie Mercury was no easy task – he has so many iconic looks and defining moments in history.
However they kept coming back to his iconic yellow jacket that he wore on the ‘Magic’ European tour in 1986. When you think of Freddie you think of the yellow jacket – and Vendula London wanted to capture that magic and bring it home for everyone.
The Freddie bag also comes with a striped shoulder strap – because you can’t have the jacket without the iconic trousers to match! They couldn’t not finish this bag without the legends signature – so on the back of the bag you’ll find Freddie’s signature embroidered.
The John Deacon Mini Bass Case
We love the Mini Bass Case designed to represent John Deacon and his role in the band, the bright coloured patches and miniature case construction makes this one of the teams favourites from the collection.
The colourful patches are a mix of embroidery and vegan leather and really give that rock n roll tour feel they are aiming for.
We carefully chose a vintage style vegan leather that gives the feeling the bag has seen the sights over the years. The style also features the super embellished tour lights shoulder strap and the legendary signature of John Deacon – another one for the collection
The Tour Bus Bag
Here at Vendula they have some icons too – and their truck bag is one of their favourites. So the team had to design a tour bus truck bag for this range, featuring the Vendula London cheeky black cat mascot driving on ‘The Crazy Tour’ and selling Queen merch.
We love a nod to British nostalgia too – so the crazy tour and its Union Jack emblem was the perfect theme for this bag. This style is also a true collector’s item featuring black and white iconic images of the band on the reverse.
The Weekender Tote Bag
At Vendula London they want to design fun bags for everyone and designing their novelty shapes for the Queen range was great fun, however they know not everyone wants their handbag in novelty form, so they wanted to design something for someone who wants their bag to be beautiful however also a little less ‘look at me’.
They love creating hand-drawn prints and were so inspired by Queen and the musical elements that they created this original rock’n’roll print. This range of printed bags feature the vintage style vegan leather that gives the feel of a bag that has already been on tour!
