Karin Ridgers Founder of MAD Promotions Awarded

Best Vegan PR Company

Karin Ridgers awarded Best Vegan PR Company by actor and friend Peter Egan

We are excited to announce that Karin Ridgers, founder of MAD Promotions, has been honoured with the Best Vegan PR Business Award at Viva!’s momentous 30th anniversary celebration!

Karin’s journey with Viva! began right at the start – she’s been a proud member since day one, supporting their mission to promote animal welfare and plant-based living. Soon after joining Viva! Karin became a passionate advocate for veganism herself, dedicating her career to helping ethical businesses gain visibility through PR and media relations.

Karin said,

“It is always about my clients – however this is about me and our work at MAD Promotions …. and I am rather chuffed to bits….  especially to win an award from an organisation like Viva! that has inspired me for 30 years.”

“It’s been an incredible journey helping to champion vegan businesses over the past 20 years and seeing how far the vegan movement has come in this time too.”

Karin’s work at MAD Promotions has played a key role in bringing veganism into the spotlight, and this award is a testament to her dedication to creating a kinder, more sustainable world.

“We are so thankful to all of our clients over the years and supporters who have been part of our journey. And we are especially grateful to the media for coming directly to us for vegan related news and comments – and featuring our super clients.”

“Thank you for believing in the work we do … and together we will continue to strive to get the positive vegan message out there. Here is to an even brighter plant powered future!”

Karin was one of the first people to hear about Veganuary before it was launched and looked after their initial campaign. She has worked with numerous vegan SMEs and charities, she presents and promotes the UKs longest running vegan festivals VegfestUK and has met/ interviewed just about every vegan celebrity including:

Moby, Bryan Adams, Jasmine Harman, Heather Mills,  Peter Egan, Jermone Flynn, Gary Webster, Wendy Turner Webster, Evanna Lynch, Alan Ford, the late Benjamin Zephaniah, Sarah Jane Crawford, Carol Royle and more.

Karin launched a trial of a vegan newspaper 20 years ago and runs www.VeggieVision.TV – a website that has been revamped to support more vegan business through an affordable membership.

The Viva! team was just as excited to celebrate her work and commented,

“Karin has been a tireless force in vegan PR for the past 20 years helping businesses reach new audiences and making plant-based options more accessible and visible than ever before. Her support from the very start has meant the world to us. We couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of this award!”
