We were thrilled that Aldi dropped us a line to let us know they have a selection of vegan friendly wines. They kindly sent a few to us to try out and they went down very well with our reviewers! 43-exquisite-argentinian-malbec-magnum
“It’s great when big supermarket players are thinking about vegan friendly options and especially as wine doesn’t need to be labeled oddly enough!”
“I am so impressed that Aldi are becoming more vegan friendly and this has encouraged me to try the store out too – I hadn’t been there before.”
Although perhaps still a work in progress as many of the wines we looked at didn’t actually say if they are vegan friendly or not however still a good move forward from Aldi – and with a vegan case of wine working out from just under £4 a bottle they are worth trying them out!
At the moment the wines are not labeled vegan friendly in store – we are keeping our fingers crossed that this will change.
A firm fav was their: Exquisite Argentinian MalbecThis worked out at a reasonable £6 per bottle.
“Bright and intense ruby-red with youthful purple tints and aromas of fresh fruits – a result of the high altitude vineyard plots. Plums and blackberries are overlain with subtle violet notes to give a premium wine with great structure and a long and intensely fruity finish.”
Thanks Aldi and for your vegan information on your site too – we look forward to trying more vegan friendly goodies from you!
