We absolutely love reviewing food products here at VeggieVisionTV, it’s so lovely to see how many new vegan-friendly brands are popping up all over the place – and we are so appreciative when they get in contact with us! So here’s a review of some of the fabulous food products that we have received lately.

Explore Cuisine – Pasta Alternatives
These pasta alternatives are organic, vegan, gluten-free, high fibre, high protein, and not to mention delicious. We were able to try out the green lentil penne, chickpea fusilli, and red lentil spaghetti – all of which were lovely. You can tell the slight difference in taste and texture when you eat these alternatives plain, but who is eating plain pasta anyway? When cooked up in a delicious tomato sauce, or ‘cheese’ sauce, they are identical to normal pasta.

The Explore Cuisine pasta range is available from Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Ocado, Tesco, and Holland and Barrett.

Community Foods Group – Huge Bundle!
We were so surprised when we saw what a huge bundle we had received! The bundle of goodies includes products from Crazy Jack Organic, Jumble Bee, Tarantella, and Orgran. Our reviewer is a huge fan of Jumble Bee prodicts anyway, so we knew that their treats would be delicious and sweet; their banana chips are the perfect snack, and the trail mixes pair really well with Weetabix! The Crazy Jack products were also perfect breakfast accompaniments; it always completes a healthy meal when you have some lovely dried fruits and nuts on top. The Tarantella tomato passata was incredibly rich and made the perfect arrabiata base – definitely no complaints here. The Orgran Vegan Easy Egg was one of the most intriguing products that we received, and although it may take a couple of times to perfect how to cook it, it truly is a great product. It’s quite a firm, and really does resemble real egg; it’s such a versatile product as it can be used for baking too.

The Crazy Jack Organic range is available from Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Ocado, and Tesco. The Jumble Bee range is available from Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Ocado. Tarantella Organic Passata is available from Asda, Ocado, Morrisons, and the Co-operative. Orgran Vegan Easy Egg is available from independent supermarkets and health food stores.

Abakus Foods – Jujube Fruit Range
Perhaps some of you are thinking, “What is a Jujube fruit?!” well, it’s actually a healthy and delicious fruit that is also known as the Red Date which has been enjoyed in the Far East for many years. This superfood tastes yummy all on its own, and is certainly enough to satisfy your sweet tooth! We received the original “Jujube Fruit”, “Crunchy Crisps” and the “Crunchy Sprinkles”. Our porridge does not feel complete without the “Crunchy Sprinkles” on top – it’s so delicious, and adds a subtle sweetness to the porridge!

The Abakus Foods Jujube range is available from Ocado, Wholefoods, and a selection of other health food stores across the UK.

Boundless – Nuts & Seeds
We received two out of the three available flavours: cayenne and rosemary, and orange, ginger, and maple. We were delighted to see the beautiful, small packaging fit to be an art piece, and even more delighted at the burst of flavour! Each packet of this product provides a nutrient-dense, high fibre and perfectly portioned treat guaranteed to keep your energy levels flowing throughout the day. This brand uses an ancient Aztec and Aborigine technique of soaking and baking the nuts to unlock their nutrients for better digestion – which sounds very intriguing!

The Boundless Nuts & Seeds range is available from Amazon and Borough Box.

Yet another fantastic bunch of boast-worthy products! We hope you enjoyed reading about them, and we hope you enjoy trying them even more so. We would like to give a huge thank you to the Community Foods Group, Abakus Foods, Explore Cuisine, and Boundless for allowing us to try their wonderful creations. Please do check them out, and keep them in mind when you’re searching for your next lot of vegan treats!
