The guys at VeggieVision TV HQ thought all their Christmas wishes had come at once when the delivery guy dropped off a few crates of Grasshopper beer…Infused with CBD the evening became very therapeutic with conversations starting with “Now that beer is healthy…….”
Gorgeous Brewery is pleased announce the launch of its new vegan CBD beer. The pale ale, known as Grasshopper, has been infused with five milligrams of naturally pure Cannabidiol (CBD). The family run brewery has sourced the highest quality CBD and combined this with hops to create a very unique brew.
Incorporating hemp extracts containing CBD compliments the hops to create citrus fruit characteristics and creates a smooth mouth feel. It’s low in bitterness, resinous and high in flavour and aroma. The CBD in this beer is naturally pure.
The Grasshopper beer has been made in collaboration with experts at CBD & You, the first pure-play CBD shop in London. They specialise in the finest quality CBD products and are experts in this exciting new CBD world.

Why did we set up the brewery?
We’re Rob and Samantha Laub. We come from a publican background. Our great grandparents were publicans, our Grandmother was born and raised in a pub, then Rob became a publican, so beer has been part of the family for a long time. When Rob took over The Bull pub in Highgate there was a small brew kit in the kitchen. This sparked the idea to build a brewery behind the pub and so we created Gorgeous Brewery. The pub acts as our tap room, but we are also available in a bunch of other places, especially around London.
We work with little automation, so a whole lot of care and hard work goes into everything we make. We do everything by hand, down to bottling and labelling. Because of our publican background, it was important to focus equally on both keg and cask beers and we really put the drinker first in everything we do.
Why CBD?

We could see that CBD was taking off in a massive way and started a conversation with local CBD exerts at CBD&YOU. Both being plant based, hemp extract, compliments the hops to create great flavours. On top of this both CBD and beer are used for relaxation so this is really the ultimate way to unwind. As with everything we do, we were only going to do it properly, so we combined their CBD expertise and our beer expertise. They helped us source the very best Naturally Pure CBD. We then spent a long time in R&D and only released it when we truly happy that we’d created a really great new beer.

Is the fact your beers are vegan important to you?
We want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy a Gorgeous pint, so we knew we wanted to make sure a good number of beers were vegan. Now all of our beers, apart from the real ales, are unfined and unfiltered, so they’re vegan, retain a natural haze and even more flavour.
Do you have any celeb fans?
