Well after 20+ years of being vegan you think you have seen it all.… an abundance of vegan festivals, being able to have a vegan creamy liqueur – with thanks to Besos do Oro, being able to pick a vegan sandwich up from just about anywhere, find like minded love with veg*n dating sites, to even some seaside ice cream parlors stocking Swedish Glace ice cream cones!

And now… this….  How brilliant and super funny…. whether you need to take a cheap BBQ with you to avoid cross contamination or you just want to try this out to see what the difference is – it’s less than a tenner!

Thankfully something vegan is less expensive than it’s animal product rival!
Argos has launched the world’s first-ever Vegan BBQ for just £9.991 so that Britain’s ever-increasing vegan population can get involved in summer BBQ action at a bargain price.
The porcelain-enamelled steel BBQ cooks corn on the cobs, peppers, Shroomdogs and more to flame-grilled perfection, meaning vegans can enjoy a delicious home-cooked outdoor treat as the mercury hits 30C and above over the next fortnight.

The leading online retailer launched the BBQ in response to growing consumer demand for vegan products. There are now 500,000 vegans in the UK2, while a quarter of all evening meals consumed in the UK contain no meat3.

This January, record numbers got involved in the Veganuary phenomenon, while this June, July and August is expected to see the rise of ‘Plummer’ – a summer of eating only plant-based foods.

Argos told VeggieVision TV;
“The Vegan BBQ sets fire to the idea that tasty BBQ food is just for meat lovers. This ‘Plummer’, when BBQ fans across Britain will be forgoing meat in the summer months, shopping at Argos means you can pick up a vegan-friendly product for under a tenner.”

The trend for vegan food shows no sign of abating at the supermarkets either.
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “We are seeing an increasing interest from our customers in plant-based foods, with sales of our current meat-free range growing 20 per cent each week.
