etnies have also announced that they reached their target to plant 2 million trees by 2020 in partnership with Trees for the Future. As a result, the Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree (BASPAT) initiative has now been expanded to include their full collection, and etnies will plant another tree for every purchase from their new SS20 range.
The collection includes exciting new BLOOM and Preserve footwear lines which have been designed to utilise eco-friendly materials and help reduce impact on the environment. BLOOM is a plant-based foam that is primarily used in shoe soles as a plastic substitute. It is formulated from renewable algae biomass feedstock that cleans the environment and reduces the risk of algal blooms while simultaneously reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.
Each shoe in the etnies BLOOM collection means 225 water bottles worth of clean filtered water are returned to the environment, and 21 balloons worth of carbon dioxide are stopped from entering the atmosphere.
Shoes in the etnies x BLOOM collection feature innovative materials including: BLOOM foam made of algae biomass, recycled inner lining and mesh upper, and laces made of recycled plastic bottles. The full BLOOM footwear line is suitable for vegan consumers.

Make dad the best vegan brunch ever…. Prepare in advance ….
Start with some berries or fresh fruit and followed by…. scrambled tofu, vegan sausages, fried tomatoes, fried mushrooms, beans, hash browns , crusty buttery toast, tea – the full works! Use coconut or olive oil when lightly frying.
Have a wine tasting event – all vegan wines of course. Splash out on a few that you wouldn’t usually buy… well it is Fathers Day.
If brunch isn’t his thing why not pack a delicious picnic and enjoy the out doors together – or even in his back garden.
Add in some ready made vegan meats – we like V Bites. Ready sliced dairy free cheese…. We like Violife.
