With many saying this was the BEST VegfestUK festival ever, a stunning atmosphere, great people, brilliant events and life changing information – and amazing vegan food!  We loved hosting the Easy veganism room and thankful for the great feedback. Karin had no voice at the end of Sunday!

And VegfestUK Brighton returns on March 24th 25th 2018 at the same venue!

Further evidence of the rise of veganism in the UK is amply supplied by the VegfestUK action at the Brighton Centre where around 9,400 visitors were packed into this prime exhibition venue on the South Coast overall, all enjoying 2 days’ worth of vegan feasting and learning more about following a vegan way of life.

Debuting at VegfestUK Brighton 2017 is an Easy Veganism section with the most common FAQ’s about veganism answered by a large collection of experts and star guests.

Kindly joining the event with VeggieVision TV’s Karin Ridgers were actor Peter Egan, TV presenter Wendy Turner-Webster, actress Carol Royle, film director Otto Brockway, model and co founder of the K 9 Angels Victoria Eisermann, Lush Cosmetics ethical director Hilary Jones, strongman Patrik Baboumian, cyclist Christine Vardaros, triathletes Kate Strong and Dave Sheahan, world champion parkourist Tim Shieff plus many others.

All sessions from this new area were recorded and will be available to view on VegfestUK’s Youtube channel www.youtube.com/vegfestuktv soon.

The VegfestUK organisers added,

“It’s fantastic to be able to showcase to our visitors how easy and accessible it is and certainly has become for everybody to be vegan in this day and age especially, with the plethora of vegan options available as showcased by our stallholders as well as our educational sections.

And to be able to attract the calibre of special guests all under one roof, it’s truly incredible. Big big thanks too to all our stallholders, speakers, performers, and many other supporters who have kindly backed our event and made it so successful – we really appreciate it.”

Other highlights of the event include: a Vegan Comedy Festival with over a dozen vegan standup comedians, Vegan Film Festival showcasing about half a dozen feature length documentaries on veganism, an Intersectional Vegan Summit discussing intersections of social justice issues from a vegan perspective, a Vegan Food Village loaded with vegan feasts, tons of special offers from over 200 colourful stalls, plus the usual VegfestUK mix of talks, cookery demos, kids activities, magic shows, on top of a Teen Zone for teenage vegans to hang out and a Mature Zone for older vegans to learn more about veganism.

The organisers welcome feedback from visitors to this year’s event – they are welcome to fill in this survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/BRIG2017Visitors

VegfestUK will return to the Brighton Centre on March 24th 25th 2018, with plans for the featured areas to be announced in due course, and website to go live for stall bookings from September 2017.
