After years of frustration being fed up with self made tofu presses – using tins, heavy books and kitchen roll – Adam and Susanna Kittow set about designing their own easy to use tofu press to squeeze out the excess water of their favourite and versatile food – high in protein and low in fat tofu.
And we here at VeggieVision TV are LOVING this new must have kitchen gadget…. “The press brings a whole new texture to tofu and makes tofu taste much better. Tofuture is easy to use and we love that it has it’s own handy container to catch the water and the container can also be used to marinate the tofu in after too.”
Squeezing out the excess water brings a whole new taste and texture to this on trend firm vegan staple that has been around for 2,000 years.
Made in the same way as we make cheese tofu can be marinated, used in sweet or savoury dishes and is perfect for meat eaters and non meat eaters alike. However, it tastes much better when the water is squeezed out.
Tofuture is a simple to use kitchen gadget. You simply pop your block of tofu inside, lock down the clamps and the clever design means the water is captured in the outer container too.
Co inventor Adam tells us;
The gradual nature of the pressing will give your tofu the perfect texture and consistency for it to absorb gorgeous marinades or the beautiful flavours of the dish you are preparing. Tofuture is easy to use, dishwasher safe and fits into your fridge when pressing. It will revolutionise the way you enjoy tofu.”
Susanna adds; “A world of tastes and textures opens up which enables you to explore the versatility of tofu. Roast, grill, fry, bake in a pie, whiz into mousse, create amazing veggie burgers, egg-free quiches, a completely new pizza topping, the list is endless.”

Tofu is an excellent source of protein, calcium and iron, is very low in fat and has NO cholesterol. And, more than that, it is delicious, easy to use and incredibly versatile.
“There are two main types of tofu – block tofu which is stored in water, has a firmer texture and can be found in the chilled section of most supermarkets; and silken tofu which is softer and can be found in the chilled or grocery departments.
Both types are stored in water and the key is to press this water out. Tofu has been a staple food in East Asia for more than 2000 years and its popularity is growing in the West as the health and ethical benefits of a plant base diet become more mainstream.”
