How long you have been vegan/ Veggie

I have been vegetarian for six years and absolutely love it. It was the easiest thing in the world and one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Why vegan/ veggie

I had always approached food in a really clinical way. It was put in front of me and I was told to eat it, so I did. It wasn't until I got to University and began to question why I was eating meat and whether I was morally comfortable eating another living being. When I realised that deep down, I wasn't, I just stopped and I've never looked back.

Presenting/ acting experience / other interesting stuff you do

I've been acting since the age of eight, when I began attending Jackie Palmer's Stage School. At aged ten I performed in a touring production of "A Voyage Around My Father" by John Mortimer which was my highest acting accolade. Since then I've been an extra in several BBC productions and performed in school plays. I was lucky enough to perform at The National Theatre at 18, in "Dust" by Sarah Daniels.

Since graduating I have performed in two open air Shakespeare productions - most recently in the role of Helena in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at Brighton's Little Theatre. I also wrote, directed, produced and financed my first play "Brain Drain!!", which premiered at the 2008 Brighton Fringe Festival.

I have also been comparing since my teens, presenting various talent shows at the Wycombe Swan Theatre.

Favourite Food

I couldn't possibly pick. I love all food, especially my Dad's cooking. He'd beat Gordon Ramsey in a cook-off without breaking a sweat.

Favourite way to chill out

Enjoying a picnic in the park, on a lovely, sunny day with good friends, great music and large amounts of cider.

Perfect date

It would have to involve an amazing dinner, with delicious wine and lots of laughter; followed by a intimate folk gig, lots of cuddling and sweet nothings.

Who inspires you and why

Diablo Cody. She's such a strong woman, with shall we say a colourful past. She isn't afraid to be who she is and has had a meteoric rise to fame because of her razor sharp wit and geek-chic writing style. If I ever met her I would fall to my knees in an awestruck, Wayne's World "We're not worthy"-style moment.

And Bruce Springsteen. The man is a musical genius and Thunder Road will always make every hair on my body stand on end. I heart The Boss.
